What to include

Six things that make a first reply genuinely useful

You do not need all of these to get in touch, but each one shortens the back-and-forth. Cactus and succulent work depends heavily on the plant’s size and condition and on how easily it can be reached, which is why photos and access details matter so much.

01
Photos
Three or four pictures from different angles, plus one wide shot showing where the plant sits on the property. Something for scale, like a person, door or fence, is very useful.
02
Your city
Conditions and logistics vary a lot between the coast, the valleys, the foothills and the desert, so knowing the city sets the conversation up well.
03
What you want
Removed, moved somewhere else on the property, moved to a new address, or new plants installed. If you are not sure, say so; that is a normal starting point.
04
Access
Gate widths, side yards, stairs, slopes, pools, overhead wires and parking. The narrowest point between the plant and the street often matters most.
05
Timing
Any deadline, such as a sale, remodel, inspection or event. Seasonal timing also matters for relocations and new plantings.
06
Discount
Whether a veteran or senior discount applies, so it can be reflected from the start.

Email draft helper

This form does not send anything. It opens a pre-filled draft in your own email app, where you can attach photos and press send yourself.

What happens after you write

Your email is read, and the reply will usually include a few practical questions: how wide the gate is, whether there is a slope or steps, what you would like the area to look like afterward. Clear photos sometimes answer all of those at once.

From there, you and Los Angeles Cactus agree on a plan: removal, relocation, installation or a combination. Nothing proceeds until the scope is clear. If part of a request falls outside what makes sense to take on, such as a slope with obvious structural problems, you will be told honestly and pointed toward the right kind of help.

Good timing helps everyone. Relocations and new plantings tend to go best in spring and early fall, while removals can usually happen in any season. If you have a deadline such as a home sale, a remodel or an event, mention it early so the plan can account for it.

Prefer to follow along first? Los Angeles Cactus is on Instagram and Facebook, where you can get a feel for the plants and gardens that inspire the work. For anything about your own property, though, email remains the place to start, because photos and details can be shared and kept together in one thread.

If you are not sure which service you need, start with the cactus removal or succulent removal and relocation pages, or browse your city in the service area directory.
